About Punta Gorda

Punta Gorda, nestled between the Charlotte Harbor and Peace River is a fisherman’s dream and was incorporated in 1887.  In the 1950’s subdivisions were built to entice Northerners to move and by doing so made “the sportman’s paradise”  a very special place to call home.

Local Attractions including Fishermen’s Village, the beautiful beaches and the baseball training camps in nearby Port Charlotte and Fort Myer offer sun seekers, shoppers and sports enthusiasts plenty of fabulous Florida relaxation and fun!
